The Rock Box Maxi Dress

Like I mentioned in my last Spring post, this year I plan to wear far more dresses and much more colour. I’m trying to make an effort to get out of my beloved jeans, and into something a little different, and I have to say that this beautiful dress has made that very very easy. Sometimes it’s so easy to fall into a bit of a fashion rut and find yourself grabbing the same few items each day. Since I’ve been working from home, I’ve basically lived in either my jeans or my activewear, and even when I’d head out on errands I’d throw on a pair or jeans and a sweater. Lately when I’ve been going out even on simple trips like to the supermarket or out for coffee, I’ve been making a point to pop on a dress, a nice top, or a pair of low heels (let’s still be realistic here!). It’s made me feel like I am getting a chance to wear all of the gorgeous items in my wardrobe, and it’s also made me feel a lot more confident in my presentation when I head out too. It’s amazing how a gorgeous outfit can really change how we feel!

As soon as I saw this dress pop up on The Rock Box website, I knew I had to have it. The pretty blush colour, the floral pattern, and the tiered skirt made it an absolute must have for me. You might have spotted this before, as it also popped up in my Spring Fashion Must Haves post!

The lovely ladies at The Rock Box Store were kind enough to send this dress to me, and since it arrived in the mail a few days ago, I’ve already worn it a few times. Maxi dresses are my perfect Spring dress as they are long enough to cover the fact that my legs are about as pale as a polar bear and haven’t seen the sun for 5 months! They are also just that little bit warmer than your regular dress, making them perfect for the transition months.

This dress is such a flattering fit as it is fitted across the top part of the body, and then falls beautifully from the waist. The v-neckline and the tie waist make it perfect for so many different body shapes too. For reference, I am wearing a size small. If blush isn’t your colour, this dress also comes in a pretty grey.
