Doodlewear Tees: A NZ Artist Collab

I was recently introduced to Doodlewear, which is such a fun fashion and Kiwi artist collab.  Doodlewear was created by designer Libby Liu, and aims to bring creatives from around NZ together, and allows you to shop their artwork printed on the coolest tees. These tees are so fun and far more unique than what you can buy in mainstream stores. They also make the perfect gift!

There are currently 11 artists whose work is available through the website. There is a huge range of prints and art styles to choose from, from girly and whimsical, to Kiwiana inspired prints, to cultural designs. I was kindly sent two tees to share on my blog and was able to choose my favourite designs. You can choose between two styles of womens tee, and I chose both of the tees in the Mali style. This style has capped sleeves and a curved hem, making it slightly longer in the back and front so it’s great to wear with leggings. The first tee I chose was the I Love You This Much Coloured Tee which is part of the By Libby range. This tee is so cute with the little dino on it, and I can see myself wearing this one A  LOT.

The second tee I chose was part of the Saramutande collection and is called the Home Tee. This print is so beautiful with the retro style bike and whimsical scene. I’m a sucker for pastel colours, so of course this one was a must-have print for me!

I have to say, I’m super impressed with the quality and fit of the tees. Each tee is a high-quality NZ made AS Colour tee, and the graphics are digitally printed so there’s none of that nasty cracking. The ink that’s used to print the tees is also certified eco friendly, so is better for us and the environment. I chose a size small in both tees and it runs true to a size 6-10 depending on how fitted you like it. Of course, the tee is a little bit more fitted on me at the moment with the baby bump happening!
