You might remember a while back, I brought you a review of a couple of the Vestige Verdant skincare products. Since then, Vestige Verdant have released a few more skincare products, and now offer a full line of skincare. Today I’m going to show you my current skincare routine using Vestige Verdant skincare, as well as a review of each of the products.
First up, a little bit about the brand. Vestige Verdant skincare is a luxury skincare brand, which creates effective organic and clean beauty products. Their products are beautifully formulated through a blend of technology and high quality, organic ingredients, and focus on slowing the signs of ageing. All of the ingredients are sourced from farmers who are ethical and follow fair trade principles, and every single product is cruelty free.
As I’ve mentioned in my last review, I love the Vestige Verdant packaging, and the new products are no exception. The black and white outer packaging is simplistic and beautiful, and the product packaging is luxury at it’s finest. I love the black tubs and bottles, and there has been careful consideration into how each item is dispensed. I love the rollerball functions of the eye serum and the facial oil, and the micellar water is very easy and mess free to apply.
Vestige Verdant Pure Brilliance Micellar Water
The Vestige Verdant Micellar Water is a multi-purpose product designed to remove makeup, grime and dirt and also cleanse – all in one product! I’m all about multi-purpose products as a Mum, and I find this one super easy to use. I am currently using this twice a day – once in the morning to cleanse and once at night to remove makeup and cleanse. I simply spray the product onto my face (or a Konjac Sponge), and use a warm washcloth to remove the product and any makeup. I usually do an extra rinse with warm water (more out of habit than anything!), but this isn’t necessary.
So how does micellar water work? Formulated with organic and natural ingredients, this water is infused with micelles which are designed to attract makeup and other impurities on the skin, allowing them to be wiped away cleanly. This means makeup is really easy to remove and requires little to no scrubbing, hence preserving the integrity of the skin. The Pure Brilliance Micellar Water also contains ingredients designed to hydrate and soothe the skin
Vestige Verdant Organic Peat Facial Mask
Quite possibly the hero product of the Vestige Verdant Collection is the Organic Peat Facial Mask. I wrote about this one here, and it’s to date, still one of the most unique and exciting masks I’ve used. It’s made from rare, organic peat, which is essentially decaying plants. But don’t let that put you off, this contains bioactive ingredients with the highest organic detox abilities known to modern day science. This mask has a dual purpose to both cleanse and detox the skin, and the peat works to remove impurities from the skin, tighten skin and boost blood circulation, and restore the skins natural pH. It’s ideal for anyone who suffers from acne or sensitive skin, or is looking to reduce or prevent the signs of ageing 🙋🏼♀️
I personally love this mask, and it’s one of my all-time favourites as I actually see results right from the first time I use it. My skin feels smoother, softer and more glowy, and the more I use it, the more I see results. My face actually goes a bit red after using it, which is from the increased circulation, so I usually use this at night, right after I’ve cleansed. One of the best things, is that it only takes 3 minutes to work it’s magic, which makes it so easy to use on a regular basis.
In my last review, I did make mention about the ‘earthy’ smell which I wasn’t so sure about. I’m pleased to report this mask has been reformulated to take away that smell – it now has absolutely no smell at all, yet still the same great results!
Vestige Verdant Absolute Hydrance Day Cream
Oh my gosh, I am in love with this Day Cream. This is hands down one of the best day creams I’ve ever used. It’s so lightweight and leaves my skin so so smooth and soft. It absorbs within a few seconds of applying, and leaves my face feeling hydrated but not at all greasy. This is the perfect cream for using under makeup just due to the quick absorption rate and how it preps your skin. In fact I actually use this in place of a primer!
The Absolute Hydrance Day Cream offers additional protection to your skin, including protecting against factors such as pollution and UVA/UVB rays. It’s also designed to be anti-aging and deeply hydrating, while still retaining that lightweight quality. This one is perfect for all ages and all skin types.
Vestige Verdant Complete Recovery Night Cream
I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been big on night creams, just usually opting to reapply my day cream (naughty, I know!). But after reading the information around this night cream I can see why a night cream is so highly recommended. Your skin recovers best while you are sleeping, so it’s important to use specific products designed to help it repair and hydrate while you catch 40 winks.
This night cream is a rich powerhouse of natural and organic ingredients that nourish your skin and encourage cell-turnover. This cream is definitely on the thicker side, and I assumed since it was so hydrating that it might be greasy. Gosh was I wrong! Like the Day Cream, it’s silky smooth and hydrating and not at all heavy or greasy.
This one is definitely designed to be anti-ageing, targeting fine lines and wrinkles and tightening the skin, but it also works for those with problem skin too – tightening pores and reducing sebum.
I will note, I always apply my night cream before my facial oil and have done so for years. But the skin specialists at Vestige Verdant actually recommend applying the oil THEN the night cream, so the benefits of oil really penetrate the skin. This makes so much sense, and I’ll totally be doing this from now on!
Vestige Verdant Rare Oil Facial Oil
This facial oil is packed with five high quality, effective oils sourced from fair-trade, organic farmers. The oils are cold pressed, ensuring that you get all of the key benefits and nutrients from each.
- Neroli Oil from Italy
- Patchouli Oil from Indonesia
- Carrot Seed Oil from Nepal
- Sea-Buckthorn Oil from Germany
- Argan Oil from Morocco
Like the Day and Night Creams, this oil is exceptionally quick to absorb and it’s one of the few facial oils I enjoy using. I can’t stand greasy feeling skin, so I usually avoid using a lot of oils on my face. This one has absorbed in minutes, leaving my skin feeling silky smooth. I use this as part of my night time routine, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels moisturised and looks glowy, but is not at all greasy to the touch.
Vestige Verdant Infinity Eye Serum
Did you know that the skin around your eyes is 40% more delicate than the rest of your skin on your face? So it’s extra important to use products that are gentle, yet effective on this area. This eye serum uses a blend of natural ingredients designed to hydrate the area, reduce fine lines and dark circles, and reduce puffiness.
Since I’ve turned 30, I’ve been all about the eye serums and I’m particularly enjoying using this one. I love the rollerball application as it’s so cooling on the under-eye area. I also love the fact that it’s absorbs into the skin super quickly, meaning I can use it in the morning as well as at night, as it sits nicely under my makeup. It also claims to reduce wrinkles by up to 45% in just 2 months! While I don’t really have any wrinkles (yet!) to test this on, I have high hopes that it will work for me in delaying and reducing the onset of said wrinkles!
The rollerball packaging is also perfect for travelling as there is no fear of it leaking! The rollerball would also be the most wonderful thing to have on a long haul flight!
Overall……
Overall, I love this brand and as a full skincare set, it would be my favourite brand I’ve used. All the products work beautifully together and could not be formulated any better. While I do understand for some it might be a bit more on the pricier side, the products are so well-formulated and potent that you only need a small amount of each in each application. These products take me a lot longer to get through than other brands, so that should be taken into consideration too.
If I had to pick a couple of favourites? Definitely the Peat Mask, as mentioned above it’s one of the best masks I’ve ever used! I also really love the Day Cream and the Eye Serum.
