As a self-employed gal who works from home, most of the time I’m rocking my comfy clothes! I’m so loving sweaters, hoodies, and cute trackies right now… and don’t even get me started on sneakers! Comfy casuals are also on trend right now, and have never been worn more than ever thanks to Covid and many of us working from home!
Outershell Clothing is my go-to for comfy yet super cute clothes (you can read more of my posts about this brand, here) Their pants and sweaters are some of my all time most worn favourites, and I love that they are designed right here in NZ! (in fact, they are designed in Oamaru – just up the road from Dunedin – how cool!) They are the kind of clothes you can wear anywhere – comfy enough for home, yet can be dressed up for wearing out – just the style I like!
I have literally been living in this sweater and I’ve had SO many compliments on this one! I love soft grey and it’s a colour I wear a lot of in Spring and Summer (and all year round, let’s be honest here!) The bright floral sleeves are so fun and it’s so nice to add a pop of colour, especially when I pair this with jeans. I wear this one three ways…
- completely untucked – perfect with skinny jeans or leggings (the length of this one covers your bum – yay!)
- front tucked – super cute with jeans and a statement belt
- completely tucked & cropped – sounds weird but tuck it in to mid/high waisted pants and pull it out a little. Give the illusion of a crop and it’s super cute!
When it comes to pants, I love these ones that come in either black/floral or navy/floral. These are a great weight, which make them good for all year around. I love the floral detail on the pockets (which are nice and deep and even fit an iPhone!), and the cuffed bottoms mean you can either wear them full length, or pull them up slightly for a 3/4 feel (this is my fave way to style them!) I honestly can’t decide between the black or blue, so I’m thankful to have both and I love that the floral on each is different!
