I am absolutely loving Spring – it’s one of my favourite times of year. Longer days, amazing sunsets, gorgeous baby lambs and lots of Spring flowers (including my favourites, blossoms and daffodils!). Ironically as I type this out, today we actually had one of the biggest dumpings of snow we’ve had in nearly 15 years, which isn’t very common here in Dunedin. I have to admit it was quite nice having the snow and being all rugged up and cosy…. and now I’m ready for the Spring sun again!
Today I wanted to share with you one of the most gorgeous dresses that I’ve stumbled across for Spring/Summer. This is the Bea Lauren Dress from my faves at Salty Crush and it’s just a dream. With the sweetheart neckline, the puff sleeves, and the floral print it really is the sweetest Spring dress. This one can be worn on or off the shoulder, which makes it all the more versatile, and the midi length is great no matter your height. It would make for the perfect wedding guest or summer party dress too!
As soon as I saw this dress I knew I had to take the photos in the blossoms as it just works so perfectly! This wee dell of blossoms and daffodils is actually located right next to the highway in Dunedin – I bet you wouldn’t believe it! It’s just such a tranquil and pretty place, right in the heart of Dunedin. I also had to visit the blossom arch in the Dunedin Botanic Gardens – another must do if you are spending Spring in the city!
Fit tips: I’m wearing this dress in a size 8 and I am usually a size 6. This is true to size and is just the tiniest bit big on me if I wear it right off the shoulder. The elastic portion around the neckline and the tie around the waist make this dress fairly adjustable which is great. In terms of length, I am 163cm or 5″3 and it’s the perfect midi length on me.
