I’ve teamed up with one of my favourite fashion brands to bring you two must-have pieces for your winter wardrobe this year. Both of these items I took with me to Queenstown and they both passed the freezing test – the warmest day on our trip was about 5 or 6 degrees!
As you guys know I love Salty Crush – the Australian boho brand that sell a huge range of high-quality women’s clothing. From wool-blend cardis and knits, to the most stunning boho inspired dresses, this brand has something for every body – literally. They cater to a wide range of sizes, from XS right through to plus sizes (20). They also ship worldwide and offer free shipping on all orders over $100 in USA, AU and NZ.
Quite possibly my favourite dress in my wardrobe right now is the Sheyne Maxi Dress. It’s a stunning linen/viscose blend that falls beautifully on the body. It has an elastic waist and elasticated balloon sleeves which help with the flawless shape and fit. I love a good balloon sleeve, and I love being able to pull them up (and have them stay up!) or wear them down. The elastic waist and waist detailing mean this dress sits really nicely on the body, no matter your size or shape. At nearly 7 months pregnant, I LOVE how this dress sits with the bump and it feels just so comfy to wear.
Despite it being linen, it was actually quite warm and I wore this for a full day in 5 degree temperatures paired with fleecy tights, boots and a coat. It’s also easy to layer under this dress too, with the higher neckline – just pop on a singlet or fitted merino for an extra cosy layer!
At 163cm (5’3″) I found this dress to be the perfect maxi length on me. It wasn’t dragging on the ground, and just sat nicely at the top of my boots. I opted for a size 8 which fitted perfectly, despite the bump, thanks to the elastic in the waist. If you were in between sizes you could either choose to size up or down, depending on your preferred fit. The only thing I will note is that if you are bigger through the bust, you might like to size up.
This one also comes in a range of colours, including forest green, brown and wine. There’s also a stunning black and red printed version too!
The second Salty Crush outfit I wore on my winter holiday was the Boston Cardigan, a beautiful woollen blend cardigan that is super toasty warm. I love a long-line cardigan and I’ve had many of the styles from Salty Crush over the years. The wool mix means they are super warm and wear really well too – like being wrapped in a big warm hug!
This one is an open style, with a folded lapel collar and long snuggly sleeves. I love the contrast hemline on this one, and the fact that it has pockets is a big win too.
The Boston Cardigan comes in two sizes – S/M and the M/L – I wear the S/M and find it to be a great fit and land just nicely below knee-length on my height. It also comes in six different colours, including the Taupe that I’m wearing in these photos.
This cardi is a great winter piece that I’ve been wearing on rotation with my black skinnies and black boots. It would also look gorgeous with a light denim wide leg jean, and I’m dying to pair it with my Cindy Wide Leg jeans once baby is here and my clothes fit again! 😅
