The Embroidered Leather Jacket

I’ve been trying not to buy too much for this Spring/Summer as I have so many clothes, it’s ridiculous. But even I couldn’t resist this gorgeous embroidered leather jacket when I saw it pop up on Forever New. Embroidery is currently a huge trend for Spring/Summer and you’ve probably seen it popping up everywhere. From shoes, to tops, jeans, and jackets, embroidered detail is a fun way to add just something a little extra to your outfit.

I’m a little bit obsessed with leather jackets as I find they go with everything. I’ll often pair mine with jeans for a casual look, or will wear it over a nice dress for heading out at night.  I have one from Forever New that I’ve worn for years, and the faux leather has worn extremely well, so I had no hesitation in buying this one.

I was tossing up between the size 6 and the size 8 and ended up getting the 8. I’m so glad I did, as it’s just a tiny bit roomier, which allows me wear layers under it if the weather is a little chilly. The jacket is an extremely flattering cut, which nips in a little at the waist, and is structured throughout the shoulders and back. It has the beautiful floral embroidery detail on the lapels, sleeves and back of the jacket. It also has zip up pockets, which are pretty much my favourite design detail. I love being able to put my phone or cards in my pocket and know they are safe!

I’ve worn this jacket already so many times, and I’ve had so many compliments on it. There are a few leather jackets available with the embroidery detail on them, but I’m yet to find one that is as pretty as this. This jacket is the perfect mix of structured and feminine and it’s such a fun girly way to wear leather.
