I’ve been a little naughty lately buying a few new items of makeup and skincare. I think I need to place a ban on myself looking at all of the online stores, as it’s just so tempting and so hard to resist buying new and exciting products. I just justify it to myself, by saying that I’m buying them to review on the blog…. that makes it okay, right?
Today I thought I’d share with you my most recent Beautiful Because order. If you’ve never shopped with them before, they are a online makeup and skincare retailer that only sell natural and organic brands. They have some very cool brands, that can be quite hard to get. They are an Australian store, but they ship to NZ really quickly and at an affordable rate. I also have an account with them and they offer a fairly good rewards system too! Plus, you always get some fun little samples to try!
These are all first impressions, but if you would like to see a full review of any of these products, let me know! Once I’ve had a chance to try them I can share my full thoughts!
The first thing I bought was the Mukti 2-in-1 Resurfacing Exfoliant. This product was actually the reason I placed my order as it had so many good reviews. This product is designed to deeply cleanse the skin, and remove dead skin cells to allow the new ones to come to the surface. The reason I was attracted to this product was that it contains AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) from fruit acids which are perfectly safe to use during pregnancy. My skin has been feeling a little lacklustre lately, and I’m hoping that using a chemical exfoliant might help with the dullness and also the closed comedones that appear sometimes on my chin.
I’ve had my eye on the Ere Perez Chamomile Eye Palette in Gorgeous for a while now. Complete with six stunning shades, this palette offers a mix of mattes and shimmers. All of the colours are browns and bronzes which are totally my colours, and there looks like a good range of shades to create different looks. I will definitely be reviewing this one at some stage as it’s absolutely gorgeous and I have a feeling it may be my new favourite eye palette.
Since I’ve lightened my hair,Since I’ve lightened my hair, I’ve had to stop using my Ecobrow in Penelope as it is just way too dark for me now. Beautiful Because is a stockist of Ecobrow so now was the perfect time to pick up the Ecobrow Brow Defining Wax in the shade Marilyn which is designed for blondes. Ecobrow is a Brow Wax/Pomade and this stuff is fab! Many liken it to a natural version of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade. The pottle may look tiny, but you only need the smallest amount, meaning that it will last forever. I used to love using the darker shade, so I expect I’ll love this lighter shade too!
The last thing I added to my cart was the Lily Lolo Eye Pencil in Black. I’ve been needing a new black eye pencil, and Lily Lolo is one brand I’m really enjoying lately so I decided to give this one a go. Containing jojoba oil and shea butter it sounds super hydrating, and like it will glide on to the eyes easily – I just hope it doesn’t smudge, but I have my fingers crossed. Eyeliner is one thing I haven’t worn much of lately, but I’m keen to get back into wearing it as it really does make my eyes pop.
