I am all about long lashes, and many of you will likely know that mascara is my go-to, desert island makeup product! For a while after having Jack my lashes seemed to be so short and stubby and no matter what I did, they didn’t seem to grow! I have avoided using a lot of lash serums etc as they are quite pricy and often contain a lot of not-so-great ingredients, so I’m thrilled to have found a safe and natural combo that are now making my lashes grow so thick and long!
The Right Mascara
Anyone who knows me knows I love my mascara, and over the years I have tried so many different brands. I’m currently loving the Speak Volumes Mascara from Arbonne, and since I’ve started using this one, I’ve noticed a huge improvement in the length and condition of my lashes. I’ve also noticed that my lashes don’t fall out as much as they used to either! This mascara also doesn’t smudge or flake, and it makes my lashes look so so long! It’s honestly one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used and it’s currently my go-to!
Build The Base
Over the past few months I’ve been using the Lust Minerals Lash & Brow Serum on my lashes. I apply this most evenings after I remove my makeup and I let this serum work it’s magic over night. Packed with natural botanicals, this serum coats and nourishes the lashes and helps them to grow longer and stronger. So far, I am loving this product and I’ve noticed a huge difference in the length of my natural lashes.
Strengthen From Within
Collagen is amazing for helping to build and strengthen your natural lashes. I use the Dose & Co Collagen Coffee Creamer which I put into my coffee every morning. It tastes delicious and it’s super easy to incorporate into your routine. There are also alternative collagen options like collagen capsules or collagen which you add to water, juice or smoothies. Since I’ve been taking collagen, my lashes, nails and skin have all improved greatly.
These three things combined have meant my lashes have grown long and strong naturally, and using the right products for longer lashes is key! As mentioned above, there are a number of products that you can buy to help increase lash growth, however it’s not recommended you use them on a long-term basis because of the ingredients in them (and applying these ingredients right near your eyes doesn’t help!)
Of course, everything in moderation so if you are wanting to grow your lashes quickly for an event or because they have suffered damage, then products like Revitalash etc are okay to use for a short time. Just do your research and always use a reputable brand! If you are looking for more long term care and maintenance, then I encourage you to try the products above!
