I haven’t done a life update on my blog for absolutely ever! 2021 was so busy, so I’ve been a bit all over the show with my posting, just because life has been so busy! If you’re following me on Instagram then you’ll probably see my updates, but if not…. then there are just SO many exciting things happening right now! Of course both last year and this year have been super disruptive with Covid, and while there are only a small few cases in the town I live in, we now have cases of Omicron here in New Zealand, so it’s probably only a matter of time! It seems so crazy this is the world we live in now, Jack is so used to wearing his mask anywhere he goes and anytime we get back in the car he asks for his “hand sanny”. I’m limiting where I take him since under 5’s aren’t able to be vaccinated just yet.
The first exciting thing is you might have noticed the new name…. The Lilly Mint Blog is now called It’s Sarah Lilly. I have been planning this rebrand since the end of last year and I’m so excited to have it all come together. I’ve changed my branding, logo and everything and am so excited! The new direction feels so much more like me!
I’m currently house hunting, and am spending most nights looking up houses to buy. I actually love going to open homes and looking at how people style their houses, so I’m loving the process! While my last house was a DIY’er, the next one will pretty much finished as we want to be able to just move in and enjoy living there. Of course I’ll be blogging the whole process (especially the decorating bit, which lets be honest, is the fun part!) Jack is so so excited for the “new house” and he’s been promised a very epic room!
And talking about houses…. my house finally sold! After nearly two years of wanting to put it on the market, I finally got it on in June 2021. It then took a few months to sell but it’s finally done and dusted and I’m so pleased! You betcha I was excited to take a photo in front of the sold sign. It’s been such a great learning curve for me though, and will always have a place in my heart as my first ever house. I am so proud of the work I put into it, and learned so much about doing up a house, so I really do look back on my time there with gratitude!
2021 was a big year in terms of personal growth for me, and when I look back on the start of last year I’m super proud of how far I’ve come (and especially in the last couple of months!!) I’ve fallen in love with the world of personal development and have really changed my whole mindset and how I look at things. It’s honestly been one of the most liberating things I’ve done and I have never felt more calm and relaxed EVER! I’ve also delved deep into the world of manifesting, journalling, crystals and meditation and I’m learning so much exploring these avenues.
Anyway, I promise I’m going to be writing a lot more on here, as I just love blogging. It’s really my creative outlet and I love nothing more than pulling out the laptop and writing a post. As always, I’ll continue to share a lot of fashion and lifestyle products, but I’ll also be adding a bit more of my life into the mix – house hunting, home decor, as well as a bit of manifestation, spirituality and good vibes in there for good measure!
