Having fine hair can be a curse when it comes to finding hair products that don’t leave your hair feeling greasy! I’ve been on a mission to find a great heat styling spray and I’ve finally found three that I can hand on heart recommend as the best heat protectants for fine hair!
Now while I have fine hair, I do have a lot of it! The hair strands themselves are very fine and I find my hair can get super limp, flat or greasy if I use the wrong products. I avoid anything too heavy, as I like to only wash my hair every 2-4 days, so I need products that are going to last the distance and leave my fine hair looking bouncy. Typically I go for mist type products vs creams as I find they are often a lot lighter.
PURE GUARDIAN ANGEL THERMAL PROTECTION
I discovered this brand through my hairdresser who use the whole Pure range in their salon, and it’s the thermal protectant that I’ve been using the longest. Guardian Angel is a super fine mist that coats the hair and protects it from any damage from styling tools. I generally use this on damp hair before using my hairdryer, although it’s also great on dry hair before styling. I feel like this one is the best all rounder if you are just looking for something to protect from heat damage. It would work well no matter your hair type too, since it’s just designed to thermally protect.

ARKIVE THE PROLOGUE
This is the newest addition to my hair care routine and I am in LOVE! This was actually a suggestion from the girls at Mecca and is designed to be used on all types of hair – including fine. It’s a super lightweight spray that smells incredible. This is actually a hair primer that coats the individual strands and preps them for future styling. It’s heat activated, so protects your hair during the styling process. Since it’s so lightweight you don’t actually realise it’s in your hair, apart from the amazing scent that lingers. My hair feels so soft after using this one and I find I can easily go 3-4 days without washing. This one is the current fave!

GHD STRAIGHT ON
If you love sleek and straight looking hair, then this is the heat protectant for you. Despite the smooth and sleek terms, this protectant doesn’t weigh your hair down or leave your fine hair looking flat. Like the other two, it’s a fine mist that you spray all over your hair before drying or styling. This one is great at limiting frizz and flyaways, so if you are like me and have a bit of breakage in your hair (thanks blonde!) then this might be the choice for you.
