Cadenshae: Activewear for Mums-to-Be

Cadenshae Activewear: For active mums-to-be and breastfeeding mums

Ever since I became pregnant and started Googling all things pregnancy and babies, my ad results on both the internet and social media have changed DRAMATICALLY. I’m getting ads for all sorts of things popping up now, from diapers to breast pumps. One ad that I noticed kept popping up on my Facebook was an advert for Cadenshae. All I can say is these guys have nailed Facebook marketing, as the ad kept popping up and eventually I clicked on it, interested to see what the brand was all about.

Cadenshae is a NZ company run by mum of 4, Nikki. They sell the most gorgeous (and practical) maternity and breastfeeding activewear. In fact, to look at it, you’d totally think it is regular activewear, except they have included all sorts of functionalities to make their gear perfect for mums or mums-to-be. All of the tops and bras have discreet zips which can be unzipped on both sides for easy and discreet breastfeeding access. The leggings have a built in fabric panel which supports the belly of the mama to be, or the mama who’s just given birth and needs something comfy to wear. Everything has been thought of in this activewear range, and I have to say, I’m seriously impressed.

I love leggings and I’ve found that some (okay, all) of my regular activewear leggings no longer fit me. Since I work from home, I practically live in activewear five out of seven days a week, so I decided to invest in a pair of the Cadenshae Regular Length Leggings. I have to be honest and say these are the most comfy things I’ve ever worn and I’m genuinely sad when I have to put them in the wash as it means two days of not being able to wear them.

The leggings are the perfect length (ankle-skimming with NO bunching), and the fit is absolutely spot on. They are so flattering and they also make your bum (and bump) look amazing, so it’s really a win-win. The fabric panel is super comfy and offers support for a growing bump, and can also be folded down to be worn after pregnancy. I’m actually tempted to get another pair of these as I love them so much, and they are hands down the comfiest work out pants I own, even including my Nikes which I practically wore to death. So much so, I’ll definitely continue to wear them after bubs is born.

Leggings – Cadenshae (buy here)
Crew Neck Top – Cadenshae (buy here)
Shoes – Nike (old) (similar style, different colour here)
Sunglasses – Glasses Shop (buy here)

Fit Tips: I have the leggings in a size XS which I’d liken to a true size 6. I’m 163cm and these are the perfect length on me. The crew neck top is in a Small and it fits like an 8 would (there is no XS). It’s designed to be slightly oversized to make way for a bump, but since it has the fitted band at the bottom it isn’t frumpy.

They are definitely the most comfy pair I own. The fabric has such a nice feel to it too! x
