Spring is here and coming with it is all of the gorgeous Spring clothes and accessories. Think light, bright colours, flowy loose styles, and floral prints. I’m a huge fan of florals and I always get excited when these prints come out. The new Love Knot War Spring 2019 collection came out a couple of weeks back and I fell in love. I think this might be my favourite collection to date!
In this collection you’ll see a few different styles and colours of skirts, as well as a range of t-shirts and dressier tops, all perfect for the warmer days. They have also released a bamboo tee range which offers both long and short sleeved styles.
My two top picks from the collection are the Ann Marie skirt, and the Trendsetter Tie Tee and I’m sharing how I’m styling them below! Scroll right to the end for fit tips.
How gorgeous is this Ann Marie skirt? With a dark navy blue base and a bold floral print, this skirt is an easy to wear style. It has an elasticated waist and a straight fit, with the hem ending mid-thigh. I love the delicate little ruffle detail that goes across the front of the skirt – it’s super cute! Sadly I see this skirt is now sold out and I’ve confirmed with Love Knot War it sadly won’t be restocked (it went so quick!), but the Bonita Skirt is a very similar style and is a super cute print. They also have a few other options and colour ways in the Love Knot War Spring 2019 release too!
This skirt looks especially cute paired with a navy or white tee, and throw on a denim jacket when the weather cools off. It would also be gorgeous with blush, taupe and brown! I’ve also paired it with a white button up shirt which makes it more dressy.
The Trendsetter Tie tee is a beautiful golden rust brown tee with a cute front tie. It’s a loose fit tee, and is so comfortable to wear! The fabric is super soft and falls beautifully on the body – you don’t have to worry about it clinging anywhere! It’s got a generous length to it, and looks cute worn out or half-tucked at the back like in these photos.
This looks gorgeous styled with denim – jeans, shorts, or a skirt, and in any colour. I’ve styled this with my light blue ripped shorts and Adidas sneakers, but I’ve also been wearing it a lot with black skinny jeans and boots for a early Spring look. It’s one of those pieces you can throw on and don’t have to think too much about, which are always fab when you are a mum!
Fit tips: I am wearing both the skirt and tee in a size 6 and I am usually a NZ size 6. I am 163cm (5’3″) tall. The skirt is an absolute perfect fit for me around the waist and fall mid-thigh, making it the perfect length for a mini skirt, I’d say it’s TTS. The tee is also a size 6 and is a very generous fit in both both and length. If you were keen on a tighter fit, I’d recommend sizing down.
