One trend I am currently loving is the boho trend. I never thought I’d say that, as bold patterns usually aren’t my thing, but I am really love the dreamy, summertime vibes that this trend gives off. I’ve become slightly obsessed with maxi skirts after getting my first ever one recently. (Yes, while I’ve dabbled in the maxi dress trend, this is my first maxi skirt!) I’m wanting to add more to my collection. I love how floaty and light they are, and they are perfect for summer days when you want to keep covered up but want to still keep cool!
This skirt is from the brand Jaase which is sold at Salty Crush. Jaase is an Australian boho brand that sells a beautiful range of boho style clothing, from dresses to skirts, jumpsuits and tops. All of their stuff is handmade in Australia and incredibly beautiful. They have new releases all the time, with a huge range of patterns and styles to suit everyone. Sadly this skirt is sold out (their styles often go super quick!) but this print is still available as a dress.
This skirt is a tiered style and has a slight drop hem at the back and shorter at the front. It is literally the perfect length for me as a maxi and I am definitely on the shorter side. I didn’t have to get this skirt taken up which is awesome.
If you are wanting to try out the boho trend this summer, I’ve created a Pinterest board with all things boho to give you some inspiration! While there are some stunning brands that are pricier, in my opinion, for more affordable options you can’t go past Salty Crush! Their customer service is fantastic and the staff are super helpful and willing to help with sizing etc.
Fit Tips: I am a size XS in this Jaase skirt which is equivalent to a size 6 so this fits true to size. It has an elastic waistband so is really comfy and means you can get the perfect fit. I am 163cm (5’3″) tall and you can see that this is a full length maxi on me when worn on the waist. On the model who was 176cm tall this was more like a midi skirt.
