Just before Christmas, I started taking some supplements from a New Zealand company called Humanature. They approached me and asked it I’d like to try out some of their I Need To Chill tablets – a supplement designed to help you relax, sleep better, and generally just feel more chill.
Now I’m definitely someone who probably gets a bit stressed out. Being a full-time mum, as well as working part-time from home and renovating a house is definitely a lot to handle, so I jumped at the chance to try out some supplements that are designed to help me relax. Humanature also kindly sent me their Make Me Feel Smarter and Get My Guts Sorted tablets to try too, so over the past few months I’ve been trialing out all three and wanted to share my thoughts.
ABOUT HUMANATURE
Humanature are a New Zealand company that create supplements from an ingredient called Enzogenol® which is a pine bark extract. This ingredient offers extraordinary health benefits, and the Humanature team discovered a way to extract this ingredient without the use of chemicals or any other solvents. PINE BARK AND ENZOGENOL®
So what is so good about pine bark? Well to be honest, I had never heard of it as a supplement until I came across Humanature, so I did a little research. It turns out pine bark is high in antioxidants and flavonoids, and when it’s processed using the unique water extraction method, it becomes a bit of a superfood called Enzogenol®. Enzogenol® has been clinically proven to supports healthy blood vessels, circulation, blood pressure, eye sight, and brain function with improved working memory, concentration and reduced cognitive problems.

GET MY GUTS SORTED
This supplement is designed to help support a healthy gut and reduces bloating. Its contains a pre-biotic cocktail of Enzogenol®, Pomegranate, Green Tea & Soy that help to promote healthy gut flora and healthy gut walls.
As I’ve mentioned before, I do get a few tummy troubles and often feel a bit bloated and heavy at the end of the day. I noticed after taking this supplement regularly, that my tummy felt less bloated and I felt less gassy. I had a bit of a break from these tablets for a few weeks when I was busy and forgot to take them, and noticed a massive difference in how I felt. They definitely do make a difference to help reduce bloating. This is definitely a supplement you want to be taking regulary.

I NEED TO CHILL OUT
This one is described as the ultimate brain balancer. It’s a great supplement for when you are feeling a bit on edge or a bit stressed and need a little bit of calm brought to your day. Containing Enzogenol® for brain function and performance and L-Theanine for calming the brain and relaxing the nerves, this supplement can be taken regularly or when needed depending on requirements. It begins to work pretty much right away to help calm your mind and nerves, and promotes mental clarity, sleep and a better mood.
I use this one when needed, and find it definitely helps promote better sleep. I generally take one of these later in the afternoon when I need to start winding down, or more regularly during times of stress with travel or work. You can take up to two tablets a day, but I find taking one is plenty enough for me, and I do take this one in conjunction with the Get My Guts Sorted tablet too. If I take this around dinnertime, I am guaranteed to have a good sleep that night, and I notice a huge improvement on how quickly I fall asleep.

MAKE ME SMARTER
This supplement is designed to help boost your mental clarity, energy and focus. It’s a good one to take either regularly for a overall boost, or occasionally for a quick mental boost. Enzogenol® supports the healthy oxygenation and neural signalling for a healthy and balanced brain. DHA Concentrated Omega-3 supports the regeneration and upkeep of healthy brain cells.
I also use this one if and when needed, and find it works best if taken in the morning for an energy and brain boost throughout the day. I’d stay away from taking this too late in the day, otherwise it can interfere with sleep. If I know I have a lot of work to get through while Jack’s napping (at about midday), I’ll take one of these around 9am or 10am so my brain is in gear and I can smash through the work!

HUMANATURE SUPPLEMENTS – OVERALL
While everyone is different and has a different capacity for taking supplements, I was recommended to start off with two capsules per day, upwards to a maximum of four. This can be a mix and match of any of the different types. Generally I take a Get My Guts sorted everything morning, and then one of the other tablets depending on my day. If I’m going to be busy with work and need a boost, I’ll take a Make Me Smarter in the morning, or if I need a good sleep or feel like I need some help to relax, I will take a I Need To Chill Out, usually at the end of the day.
