Happy Hair Brush Review

Happy Hair Brush Review

A couple of months ago I was contacted by the team at Happy Hair Brush to see if I was interested in giving their Happy Hair brush a try. I’ll be honest, I have never owned a hair brush that I’ve absolutely loved, so I jumped at the chance to try out these magical sounding brushes, and figured I might as well share my Happy Hair Brush review with you guys too…. spoiler alert, they are pretty fab!

Happy Hair Brush was created by sisters and mums, Jen & Kate who were fed up with having the struggle every morning trying to brush their kids hair. Being entrepreneurs, they developed their own range of hair brushes that were soft on the scalp and hair, yet tough enough to brush through the tangles easily. And so the Happy Hair Brush was born, and the range now extends to  standard brushes, mini brushes, and baby brushes.

Happy Hair Brush Review

I was kindly sent two of their standard brushes and a mini brush to try out. The Happy Hair brushes are made from a mix of longer nylon bristles, and shorter boar bristles, that somehow magically brush through even the most tangled hair with ease.

Their Standard Brush comes in 9 colours (including gold which is gorgeous!). It has a curved solid head which hugs your head perfectly as you brush through your hair. My strands of hair are quite thin but I have an awful lot of it, so it gets super tangled after I’ve washed it (especially when I’ve toned it with purple shampoo). I usually have to use a detangler or leave in conditioner and then gently brush it out, but with this brush I don’t need any detangler and I can brush through my hair in no time at all. It seems to glide through the tangles easily, and I’ve noticed a lot less hair in the brush than my regular brush. It also feels beautiful on your scalp, and my mum is hooked on this brush too!

Happy Hair Brush Review: Standard Brush

The Mini Brush is a smaller, travel friendly version of the standard brush. It has a flat head with no vents and no curve – similar to your classic oval paddle brush style brush. I’ve been using this one on Jack and it makes for the perfect toddler brush. He never sits still to have his hair brushed, but I find this just makes it so easy to get his thick hair brushed nicely. It’s also a really nice size for him to hold and learn to brush his hair himself.

This one would also be perfect for those people with shorter hair, and makes for a great guys hair brush! Jack now loves having his hair brushed and often says “more” when I stop! It’s a far cry from when I used to just give up on brushing his hair as he wouldn’t sit still, so this brush actually is magical I’m starting to think!

Happy Hair Brush Review: Mini Brush

I have to be honest, these brushes are a bit pricier than your average hair brush, at $42 AUD for the standard and $32 AUD for the mini. But I do have to say this is way better than your average brush, and it is built to last. If you get super tangled hair or have a child that hates having their hair brushed, then I think this will be well worth the investment and will last you a long time.
