A while back I tried out some of the hand and body products from ManukaRx, and was super impressed by them. Since then ManukaRx has rebranded their packaging and it’s seriously beautiful! To celebrate the new packaging, ManukaRx kindly sent me their new Pro-Aging Trio to try out!
A little bit about ManukaRx…. they are a natural, NZ made skincare line that is formulated, by an in-house team of medical professionals. Their hero ingredient is East Cape Manuka Oil, which is scientifically proven to be antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-aging. It’s 1,000x more potent than Mānuka Honey and 20-30x stronger than tea tree oil against Gram-positive bacteria. This is the most common type of skin bacteria so it makes it incredibly effective for keeping the skin clean and also for preventing acne.
The ManukaRx Pro-Aging Trio is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines completely naturally, as well as protecting and rejuvenating the skin. It’s also perfect for anyone who suffers from adult acne and also wants to reduce the signs of ageing. It’s an incredibly gentle skincare, and every skin type can use the Pro-Aging range, including those with sensitive skin.
As well as being made in New Zealand, this line is sustainably made with predominately recyclable packaging. The packaging for this line is beautiful with the dusty rose labels and boxes, embossed with the gold ManukaRx logo. So so pretty!
There are three items in the Pro-Aging Skincare Collection, the Day Cream, the Night Cream, and the Skin Oil. I’ve done a mini review of each item below.
Pro-Aging Day Cream
This Day Cream is infused with not only Manuka Oil, but also the goodness of Rosehip Oil. It’s an incredibly light day cream that absorbs into the skin super quickly, meaning you can apply your makeup without delay. It has a soft delicate scent, and for a light cream is extremely hydrating. I also love that it’s packed with Manuka Oil so it helps to get rid of any bacteria that is on my skin, helping to also stop any acne from starting – win win! Out of all of the products, this one would be my favourite as it ticks all the boxes for me for a day cream. Light, hydrating, and works perfectly under makeup!
Pro-Aging Night Cream
I love a good night cream, as I love heading off to bed and letting my skincare work it’s magic while I sleep. The ManukaRx Pro-Aging Night Cream is infused with Kakadu Plum which is super high in Vitamin C. This helps to repair and replenish the skin while you sleep, as well as promoting cell regeneration and boosting collagen levels. Like the Day Cream, it isn’t heavy or sticky and a little goes a long way. It absorbs into your skin reasonably quickly, and doesn’t leave any residue in your pillow or on your hair which is a huge win!
Pro-Aging Skin Oil
I have never been a huge fan of face oils as I’ve always found them very heavy on my skin. The Pro-Aging Skin Oil is different in the fact that it’s super light. Containing Rosehip Oil (one of the only oils I like using on my skin), it’s a deep hydrator, leaving the skin feeling plump and fresh but not greasy or oily. I like to apply mine at night, and especially after using an exfoliator or a face mask. You only need a couple of drops and pat it gently into the skin. By morning, it has all absorbed into your skin and you are literally glowing! While I don’t use this one every single night, as I tend to opt for the Night Cream, I use it a couple of times a week, and as mentioned, especially after skin treatments. Even my fiancé enjoys using this one!
Overall, if you are looking for an anti-aging skincare line that is natural, effective, and gentle on the skin, then I highly rate the Pro-Aging Trio. The creams especially are a favourite and I’ve been using them everyday for the past month or so.
