My Favourite Sneakers for 2022

Favourite Sneakers

If you had told me a couple of years ago I would have loved wearing sneakers (for anything other than the gym), I would have probably laughed. I’ve always been a leather boots kinda gal. I love boots – knee high, ankle, heeled, flat… whatever! For years all I would wear was boots.

It wasn’t until I was introduced to New Balance sneakers, that my sneaker obsession started. Why had I never realised how comfy they were? The cool thing about sneakers is there is literally a style and brand for everyone. Whether you like colour, prefer neutrals, like chunky or slim fit, there’s literally something for everyone. I am very partial to the New Balance sneakers (and they are SO comfy!), especially the classic 574 style. I wear these with workout tights, jeans, skirts, shorts – you name it, they just seem to work. They come in a huge range of colours too, and New Balance are forever bringing out new styles. I have these in the black leopard (which are my go-to but unfortunately no longer available), the white/grey, and the oyster pink.

Another sneaker brand I love is Adidas, and my Original Superstars are still a favourite sneaker. These are slimline and, again, go with everything! I have the classic white/black stripe, however they come in a whole range of colours now. I’m loving the gold and these are going on the Wishlist! Keep in mind, these are technically guys shoes so sizing is in mens sizes. I wear a Mens 5 and am normally a 6-7 Womens. Another pair I’m eying up are the NMD’s. These are supposed to be super comfy and I love how they are practical and comfy yet stylish. Again they come in a whole range of colours and I’m digging the black and pink ones and the new leopard print ones!

Vans Old Skool sneakers are making a huge comeback this year with heaps of celebrities rocking this sneaker, and it’s no wonder really as again, they are a great sneaker that goes with anything! I am super keen to grab a pair of these for summer as they are supposed to be so comfy and they are a really durable and hard wearing shoe. I’m all for shoes which can stand up to decent walks as well as looking cute, so these sound perfect.
