I’m pretty sure by now, you guys know how much I love Essano as I’m always talking about this brand. You can image my delight when the new range of Essano serums turned up on my doorstep for me to try!

I’ve been using these for a couple of weeks now, so I thought I’d do a rundown of each Essano serum, what it’s designed to do, who it’s designed for, and my very very first impressions for me. Of course, remember this is a first impressions post and things can always change, so I will make a point of doing full reviews of these once I’ve had the opportunity to use them a little longer.

  • Hyaluronic Acid Serum
  • Skin Tone Perfector Niacinamide Serum
  • Wrinkle Rescue Natural Retinol Serum
  • Vitamin C Brightening Serum
  • Eye Perfect Peptides Serum

Each of these Essano serums is designed to target a specific skin condition. You can also layer some of them up – Hyaluronic Acid or Niacinamide makes a great base, with either the Natural Retinol or Vitamin C Serum layered on top. The Eye Perfect Serum can also be used too!

HYALURONIC ACID SERUM

One product I have been wanting to try for months now is Hyalauronic Acid. It’s kind of the cool kid on the block in terms of skincare right now, and I was desperate to see what all the buzz what was about.

This serum is all about hydration. Containing 1.5% hyaluronic acid, this serum is designed to instantly hydrate and refresh the skin and basically return that plumpness that we lose as we get older.

Hyaluronic acid also helps to improve your skins natural texture as well as the promotion of collagen, so basically it’s an amazing all-around wonder for perfect looking skin.

I will be honest, I noticed results right after the first time I used this product. I applied it at night and in the morning my skin looked absolutely amazing. It’s only been a short time, but I can hand on heart say you will notice instant results. My skin just looked so much more hydrated, fresh and glowy. This one is now a must in my evening skincare, and I highly highly recommend! You also only need a tiny bit, so this bottle is going to go a looooong way!

SKIN TONE PERFECTOR NIACINAMIDE

This serum is a go-to for anyone with uneven skin tone, or oily or acne prone skin. It helps to calm down (and prevent) breakouts and reduces excess oil, all while hydrating the skin.

The Essano Skin Tone Perfector contain 10% Niacinamide (B3) which is quite a high quantity. This helps to clear and prevent congestion in the skin, and helps to keep the pores clean. The serum also includes 5% Acetyl Glucosamine which helps to improve skin elasticity and works with the Vitamin B3 to help brighten the complexion.

I have used another brand of Niacinamide for a number years now and have always rated this skin care product as one of my favourites. It’s a great skincare all rounder, and it’s such a simple serum to add into your daily routine.

The Skin Tone Perfector is a super light serum, and a little goes a long way. It absorbs almost instantly, meaning you can apply moisturiser, makeup, or another serum on the top…. however if I’m layering serums I like to wait around 30-60 minutes before applying the next one so my skin reaps all of the benefits.

WRINKLE RESCUE NATURAL RETINOL SERUM

I’ve talked about trying out a natural retinol before, and I’ll be honest I was less than impressed. But the Essano Natural Retinol had me very intrigued as not only does it help to fight ageing, it also helps to prevent UV damage, which was the bugbear that I had with the last natural retinol that I tried.

The Essano Wrinkle Rescue Natural Retinol contains 1% Bakuchiol which is actually a plant that is just as effective in reducing wrinkles and fine lines, as much as synthetic retinol which is found in most anti-aging products. Of course, I like to do things as plant based and natural as possible, so I was very very keen to try out this product.

As well as Bakuchiol, the Wrinkle Rescue also contains Rosehip Oil which is my all-time favourite facial oil. Rosehip Oil also plays it’s part in anti-aging skincare, helping to decrease wrinkles and halting the signs of premature ageing, so this wee combo sounds like the dream team!

I’m in the super early days of using this retinol. I apply it at night after all my other skincare. It’s a really nice light oil, that doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. It also doesn’t make my pillow or hair greasy, which is a big win for me!

While I am lucky to not really have any visible wrinkles, I am adding this product into my routine as more of a deterrent than anything! I will definitely be doing a full review of this one, once I’ve had a chance to try it out for a number of months.

VITAMIN C BRIGHTENING SERUM

I was actually sent this one a few months ago when Essano released their Vitamin C Brightening range (read more about that here), so I’ve been using it for a few good months now.

Containing 5% Vitamin C to help brighten the skin and improve skin texture. This serum is perfect for anyone who has dark spots, sun spots, or age spots as it helps to reduce them, fade any discolouration and lighten the skin.

It is also formulated with UV-protection to help prevent any further sun damage. This is huge as many of these lightening products are great at fading sun spots etc, but they don’t include any UV-protection and generally make the skin more susceptible to sun damage.

This serum is super light on the skin and for a serum it actually absorbs really quickly. It feels really light on the skin, and helps to add moisture.

EYE PERFECT PEPTIDES SERUM

As I’ve mentioned a lot in the past, I just can’t get excited about eye creams. They are the one thing I always forget to apply unless they are really amazing…. like this one!

This is an eye serum rather than an eye cream, and I feel like I like the serum formula way more. It’s super light and after a couple of seconds, you can’t even feel it on (I really don’t like heavy creams applied around my eyes, so this is a win!)

This serum is formulated with two super charged peptides to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and puffy eyes. It also helps to improve the skins elasticity and improve skin texture, so an all-rounder for the eyes!

I’ve been using this either morning or night for about a week now, and I really like the application and feel of this product. I can’t really say whether it’s made a difference so far as it’s still early days, but application-wise it’s one of the best eye products

OVERALL – ESSANO SERUMS

Overall, I’m super impressed with these serums so far. I highly recommend the Hyaluronic Acid as I was amazed by the immediate results, and this one is brilliant layered under another active serum. If moisture isn’t what your skin needs, then swap the Hyaluronic Acid out for the Niacinamide.

If you have age spots of discolouration, I also really rate the Vitamin C Brightening Serum.

As mentioned earlier, I plan to write a full review of the Wrinkle Rescue Natural Retinol once I’ve had a better time to try it. I think this is a really special product and I’m keen to see how it goes! Same goes with the Eye Peptides Serum – be on the lookout for a full review soon too!

Each Essano serum retails for $24.95 which, in my opinion, is an absolute bargain for high performance skincare!
