How to Style: A Band Tee

How to style a band tee

Band tees are super popular right now, and this trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Long gone are the days where the only way to get a band tee was at the concert – these tees are popping up in mainstream stores everywhere. Plus, you don’t even have to be a fan of the band to love the tee. I’ve seen so many people admitting on Instagram to wearing band tees and they can’t even name one song the band can sing! 😅

Typically the band tee is a heavily graphic printed tee, most often with either a black or white base. I’ll be honest, when it comes to tees I tend to opt for darker colours just because #mumlife and white tends to show exactly where Jack has put his sticky little fingers!

For these pictures I’m wearing the Rolling Stones band tee from Cotton On. I think the Cotton On tees are a great way to try this trend while spending less than $25. I’ve see some band tees easily get into the $50-$100 mark, but Cotton On have a great selection of different bands, colours and styles and often do 2 for $30.

Salty Crush also do some v. cool graphic tees, if the band tee necessarily isn’t your style, because of course all these tips apply to styling graphics tees too!
